A call to prayer… by and for Europeans

Alfredo, a Portuguese Charis church planter, has issued this call:
"A Call to Prayer for Europe:
Your sisters and brothers throughout Europe would like to invite all our friends to a day of special prayer and fasting on January 30th. The purpose is to come before God as a group of Europeans and those interested in Europe, to request a spectacular moving of his Holy Spirit throughout Europe and especially during a series of significant meetings that will take place in Germany from February 1-5."

This weekend European Charis Partners and representatives from both the European Grace Brethren churches and GBIM (my mission) will meet in Stuttgart, Germany to pray and dream together.

The gathering is propitious in light of this day of small beginnings. In 2007, we saw the hand of God — twelve European Grace Brethren churches with European elders! (Not to mention the 25 in-progress church plants.)

David (GBIM England), Malcolm, Bill (GBIM England) and Archie.
Malcolm and Archie became elders in October 2007. Since then the European Grace Churches have seen three more elders named in Chalon and Dijon, France
The idea for the Stuttgart 2008 gathering was born at this first-ever European Charis Partner (gifted people on mission) get-together in Madrid, Feb. 2007

The purpose of this gathering is to discuss and pray about possible collaboration between the three groups (European Grace Brethren churches, Charis Partners and GBIM) toward common vision and greater impact for Christ throughout Europe and beyond.
Would you join us Wednesday and throughout the weekend in imploring the Lord of the harvest to send out more and more and more Europeans into His European field?

Thanks for kneeling with us!

Back in a bit...

Am currently in Germany for Team Talks, interacting with my teammates about the meaning and applications of the family/household metaphor for church and team.

Be back in a bit... Paul
